Principal Designer

Back

Appointing an experienced Principal Designer at design stage, allows us to advise on design decisions, which will help to eliminate Health and Safety risks on your project.

Protecting the health and safety of everyone affected by the construction work is our priority.

We will plan, manage, monitor and co-ordinate the health and safety from the pre-construction phase to completion, to identify potential risks and where possible, take steps to reduce or control those risks.

Do I need to appoint a Principal Designer?

Under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM), a client should appoint a Principal Designer if a project is likely to involve more than one contractor. They should be appointed as soon as practicable to do so, and in all circumstances, before any construction works begin.
